Politicians and legislators are currently setting the course for Europe's digital future. The European Commission is addressing the topics such as platform economy, data protection and data sovereignty, as well as artificial intelligence and open data, through initiatives including drafts for a Digital Services Act, a Digital Markets Act, an AI Act and a Data Governance Act, among others. We have taken these recent developments as an opportunity to discuss the future of European digital policy.
The Open Data for Smart Mobility Conference 2020, organised by the Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport Affairs (BMDV) and under the patronage of the EU Council Presidency, discussed innovative, data-driven mobility services and challenges involved in creating new data spaces across Europe.
The conference, which iRights.Lab co-organised, explored the opportunities and challenges for data-based companies to develop and scale mobility services available across Europe.
