Open access has no price - so we created one: the Enter Award. We honour those who lead by example and make research freely accessible. Together we unlock knowledge.

The Enter Award was presented for the first time in 2024 to strengthen free access to scientific publications and other materials on the Internet (learn more about Open Access here). The award aims to promote an open and collaborative culture of education, research and learning in Germany. A prize of 1,000 euros was awarded in each of the categories "Cooperation", "Infrastructure", "Knowledge Transfer", "Pioneering Achievement" and "Rising Star". The award aims to promote an open and collaborative culture of education, research and learning in Germany. The Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) funded the project and we were responsible for its implementation.
