Research line “Digital sovereignty and sustainability”

Digital sovereignty and ecological sustainability are key concepts in current political, social and scientific discourse. In the political context in particular, reference is made to both terms when formulating goals and demands for shaping digitalisation. The AI Regulation, which is currently in draft form, is intended to be a central building block for a sustainable and digitally sovereign digital policy in the EU. But to what extent does the regulation achieve this? We have analysed this for the CO:DINA research line ”Digital Sovereignty and Sustainability” as part of a short study.
