When can we trust AI systems? Merlin Münch explores this question in his article “What makes AI trustworthy?”, published by KoKIA – the AI & Ageing Competence Network.
The article shows that trustworthy AI requires more than just technical capability. Clear rules, transparent procedures, data protection, fairness and human oversight are crucial. Furthermore, civil society perspectives must be taken into account when developing standards and guidelines for the use of AI.
KoKIA is a platform run by BAGSO – the Federal Working Group of Senior Citizens’ Organisations (e. V.) – with which iRights.Lab has previously collaborated on digital participation and media literacy amongst older people.
